Texsolv AB was founded in 1977 by Sune Ivarsson. The factory was at first situated in Alafors and was named Textilsolv. Initially heddles, cord and tie-up sets for handweaving looms and ladder strings for Venetian blinds were manufactured.
Later the production of the eye-looped rope RunLock began, based on the same idea as the loom cord, only in larger dimensions.
Today the company is owned by Thomas Ivarsson (son of Sune) and is situated in Tösse, 15 kilometers south of Åmål in Sweden.
The development work continues in accordance to the same principles as when the company was founded - to manufacture strong, soft cord and ropes where the eye loops substitutes the splices and difficult knots.
